Lahinch Group is a New York – based real estate and development company, with its roots and headquarters in Syracuse. Lahinch was founded as a development company serving the Central New York market, and has since expanded to Western NY, the Mohawk Valley and North Country. At its core Lahinch Group strives to provides its clients, tenants and investors a seamless and transparent experience from concept to completion.

Lahinch has been a long time vision for founder Joe Gehm. After more than a decade in the financial services industry, Mr. Gehm shifted his focus to real estate and development. Whether it be a certified historic redevelopment project, or assisting a client in an off-market acquisition, Lahinch Group handles each transaction and project with the utmost focus and integrity.

Founder, Managing Member

Joe Gehm is a Syracuse native and graduate of Le Moyne College. His career started as a public auditor for Dannible & McKee, LLP and then Mr. Gehm was hired as a senior consultant with Huron Consulting Group in Houston, TX. Over the next several years he would participate in various engagements throughout the United States. His consulting career brought him back to his hometown Syracuse, and it was then he found his passion for real estate and development.

A preservationist at heart, Mr. Gehm’s first project was the historic redevelopment of the C.G. Meaker Building along Erie Boulevard West. He along with his partners successfully turned a 50,000 SF blighted property into 33 apartments and a new home for Home Headquarters Inc. This project not only launched Lahinch Group, but it was a catalyst for future development along the Park Avenue neighborhood.

Mr. Gehm’s primary focus at Lahinch Group is development and project management. He strives to align Lahinch with the best partners who share his vision. Joe currently resides on the west-end of Syracuse with his wife and two children. During his down time he can be found exploring the Adirondacks, golfing and most importantly spending time with family and friends.
